On the left you can see what we have planned for this week. Fairly quiet week again this week. Today we have Lily’s swimming lesson in the morning which should be great as we haven’t been able to go for the past few weeks. My Mum & Dad are coming up in the afternoon and we are going to go somewhere for dinner, most likely just a local pub.
Tuesday and Wednesday will be a quiet days at home working on the housework. There was a few meals that we didn’t have last week as plans were changed so I’ve moved them on to this week – The Vegetable & Chickpea Fritters and the Fish & Chips.
Friday I will be having a “date” with my best friend (hi Amy!!) so Mr Monkey will be organising dinner for himself and Lily. I’ve left it up to him to decide what he wants.
Saturday I decided to try something different and have gone for silverside/corned beef, specifically this recipe from taste.com.au. I’ve never cooked silverside before so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.
Sunday I will also be trialing a new meal – Pesto Chicken from taste.com.au. I’ve been wanting to make pesto for awhile now so thought this would be a good opportunity.

Monday – Dinner Out
Tuesday – Vegetable and Chickpea Fritters
Wednesday - Fish & Chips
Thursday - Risottolaya
Friday – Mummy-Free Dinner
Saturday - Corned beef with mixed herb bechamel
Sunday - Pesto Chicken
