    Meal Plan:

    ——————
    ♥ Monday – Mushroom Risotto
    ♥ Tuesday – Dinner at Granny & Poppy’s house
    ♥ Wednesday – Takeaway
♥ Thursday – Chicken parcels, cous cous and veggies
    ♥ Friday – Pesto Pasta
    ♥ Saturday – Dinner at Granny & Poppy’s house
♥ Sunday – Miso Glazed Scallops with Soba Noodles

Sorry my meal plan is late again this week. I had it all organised but we have spent the day at my in-laws house and I haven’t had a chance to finish off this post. So I thought I’d quickly finish it now while we watch TV!

Mushroom risotto is back on this week as we were supposed to have it last Saturday but I got lazy and we had 2 minute noodles, peas, corn and fetta instead.

Tuesday I should be heading down to my parents’ house to babysit my niece. Wednesday my sister is coming back with me to babysit Lily while I go to the Buddhist Centre so I thought we’d probably just get takeaway to make it easy.

We still have some Lenard’s chicken in the freezer so I’ve decided to take out the Florentine Breast Filo parcels and serve them with cous cous and veggies.

Saturday I’m attending a High Tea at Better Read than Dead Bookshop with author Charlotte Wood. My parents are babysitting Lily and then we will be heading down to their house afterwards.

I have my Uncle’s birthday party on the Sunday and I am not sure if we will be coming home that night or early Monday morning for Lily’s swimming lesson. But if we do come back I’ve planned Miso Glazed Scallops with Soba Noodles

to use up some of the kilo of scallops that Mr Monkey bought last week! If we don’t end up coming home or don’t feel like cooking I’ll simply move it on to next week’s meal plan.

What are you eating this week?

Fish Stew and Rice from last week’s meal plan. Was super yummy but we changed the recipe a little.

    Meal Plan:

    ——————
    ♥ Monday – Ravioli & Rocket & Parmesan Salad
    ♥ Tuesday – Garnet Pilaf
♥ Wednesday – Sausage pasta bake
♥ Thursday – Chicken Burgers with homemade chips
♥ Friday – Fast Fish Medley
    ♥ Saturday – Mushroom risotto
    ♥ Sunday – Dinner at Grandma & Grandad’s House

I didn’t realise that we had a quiet week this week so started struggling when I realised I had to plan seven meals this week. It’s been ages since I’ve had to do that!! I try to always do at least one fish, one chicken, one meat, one vegetarian / one pasta, one rice, one potato etc but for some reason it doesn’t really seem to stretch across 7 meals!

Luckily, Mr Monkey’s parents invited us around for dinner this coming Sunday so that’s one less meal I have to plan!

So, it’s going to be strange to be home most of this week. The only days we’re out of the house were today for swimming this morning, Thursday I have an event to attend and then Sunday to the in-law’s house.

And nothing very exciting in terms of meals this week. Tonight we had store bought ravioli with a spicy tomato sauce and a rocket and parmesan salad. Easy but so yummy.

The Garnet Pilaf has been moved over from last week as we didn’t have it. We have a heap of sausages in the freezer so I’m whipping up a quick sausage pasta bake on Wednesday. We still have some chicken left from Lenard’s so we’re using the patties to make Chicken burgers on Thursday with some homemade chips.

The Fast Fish Medley is a recipe from a cookbook I received at the Good Food & Wine Show from The Swap It Initiative from the Australian Government. It’s a simple dish of rice and a mix of seafood (we will probably just get it from the frozen section of the supermarket).

Mushroom Risotto has become a bit of a staple in this house. Yummy, easy and nutritious. Can’t get much better than that.

What’s on your Meal Plan this week?
